As far as someone takes an interest, down below are some pictures of my workspace.
My computer setup is a 8-core 3,4 GHz Intel processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a cheap graphics card (I don’t game much), powerful enough to drive two Samsung IPS Panels at 4K. As you can see in the pictures, the housing of my PC is very small, based on the ITX-motherboard format. My keyboard is wired, which is an inconvenience, but has the upside of being illuminated. I do not mind the wire too much, as the keyboard usually remains in its place. My mouse is a relatively cheap wireless one, but has a “silent click” feature, so a click doesn’t make hardly any noise at all, which I like. I have two desktop lights, on the left the main one, which is LED, has three different lighting temperatures (from “cool”, bright white to “warm” softer light, which accommodates the my different lighting preferences from morning to night), and a second conventional lamp on the left. I put a lot of importance on my large black desktop pad, which lets my mouse glide very smoothly. It also covers and protects the surface of my full-wood desk.
My productive OS is elementaryOS – my favorite linux flavor. I keep a copy of windows at the ready, but for gaming purposes only.
And of course, in the times we live in, my hard drive is a Samsung 980 Pro M2 256GB SSD, fully encrypted (powered by LUKS – the linux partition manager that let’s you boot off of an encrypted partition/drive).
In the foreground of the left screen is a file manager, in the background my favorite editor for all coding purposes and needs: “Sublime Text”. On the right screen, the Linux-obligatory terminal in my color setting green text on black background.
